Position: Casual Courier Driver

Location: Cairns, QLD

Employment Type: Casual, shifts between 8:00am and 6:30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and transport pathology specimens, supplies, and documentation between medical centres and SNP collection centres across the Cairns region.
• Ensure safe and timely specimen handling in accordance with company protocols.
• Perform basic administration duties, including receipting specimens picked up during courier runs.
• Work both autonomously and collaboratively with a broader support team, including couriers, specimen collectors, and laboratory staff.
• Prioritise tasks efficiently and work to a defined schedule.

What we are looking for

We’re seeking a dependable and detail-oriented candidate who thrives in a service-focused environment. You will have:

• A current C class driver’s licence (held for at least 5 years), with all 12 demerit points intact and no recorded infringements.
• A background in customer service and a proactive team-player mindset.
• The ability to respond flexibly to short-notice shift requirements between 8:00am and 6:30pm, based at the Cairns Laboratory.
• Strong organisational skills, the ability to follow procedures precisely, and a commitment to service excellence.
