Position: Pathology Services Assistant / Courier (Pre-analytical Team)
Location: Grafton, NSW
Employment Type: Part time – Day Shift (You will work on a rotating roster Monday-Friday between the hours of 8.30am – 5.30 pm. Participation in a Saturday roster is expected.)
Hourly Rate: $27.3403
Key Responsibilities
- Specimen registration, data entry and processing
- Unpacking, receipting and distribution of specimens – you may be required to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Lifting/carrying eskies
- Packaging and dispatching of specimens to laboratories
- Loading and unloading of samples into company vehicles
- Preanalytical preparation and processing including centrifuging and aliquoting of specimens
- Driving a company vehicle to pick-up and deliver samples collected to a variety of locations between Grafton, Iluka and Coffs Harbour
What we are looking for
- Proven keyboard skills
- Proven ability to work as part of a professional team in a fast-paced environment
- Proven commitment to the provision of quality customer services
- Hold a current driver's licence
- Enthusiasm, good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to perform manual handling and be on your feet for the majority of a shift
- Strong willingness to learn and develop within the Specimen Reception Area
