Position: Scientist (Haematology)

Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology now has an exciting full-time permanent opportunity for a Scientist to work in the haematology department of the Bowen Hills laboratory. This department encompasses testing in both Haematology and Coagulation. Applicants must be flexible to work across day and evening shifts, covering both a weekday and weekend roster.
The Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology laboratory at Bowen Hills is a state of the art laboratory, combining manual laboratory techniques with high end automation and AI. The Haematology department is a good example of this. The successful applicant will receive industry leading training in both microscopic and digital blood film morphology. With experience, involvement in bone marrow morphology is also available. They will also be trained to perform a variety of different laboratory tasks, including manual laboratory testing techniques and the management of a variety of automated laboratory equipment.

To be considered for this position you will be degree qualified in Medical Laboratory Science.
Importantly, you will have the demonstrated ability to work methodically and accurately, whilst prioritising your workload. You will be organised, have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and be comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team.
Previous experience working in a haematology laboratory, while not essential, is desirable.
