Position: Cardiac Scientist
Location: Bowen Hills, Brisbane, QLD
Employment Type: Full-time
Bowen Hills Laboratory is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to join the Central Incident Resolution (CIR) Department in a full-time capacity.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Investigating and resolving complex patient misidentifications, recollections, missing specimens, and amended reports
Applying clinical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve high-level scientific issues
Liaising with geneticists and external laboratories for referred testing and reporting
Managing workflow and prioritising clinically significant problems
Working within a rotational roster (06:00 – 22:00, Monday to Friday) with optional 9-day fortnight flexibility
Participating in after-hours rosters, including approximately one in four Saturdays, remote access on-call, and some public holidays
To qualify, you will need:
An AIMS-accredited university degree in Medical Laboratory Science
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a diagnostic pathology laboratory (multi-disciplinary)
