Laboratory Assistants - Histology

Key Responsibilities

• Specimen reception
• Troubleshooting specimens with doctors and clinic staff
• Data input into Histology accessioning system
• Slide and block filing
• General assistance to dissection staff
• Embedding
• Microtomy
• Loading tissue onto tissue processors
• General laboratory duties including assistance to allocation bench and changing stainers

What we are looking for

The successful applicants must possess an enthusiastic and flexible approach to their work, together with the ability to work as part of a team. Prior experience in specimen reception duties or histopathology will be highly regarded.
