Position: Scientist (Histopathology)
Location: Townsville, QLD
Employment Type: Full-time – Shifts are scheduled between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with participation in after-hours frozen section procedures as required.
Key Responsibilities
Duties performed include specimen registration and accessioning, referral work, embedding, microtomy, dissection of simple, non-complex and some complex tissues, frozen sections and special stain procedures.
What we are looking for
Applicants should possess an appropriate degree/diploma in Medical Laboratory Science or other relevant qualification.
The role requires an enthusiastic attitude and a proven ability to work in a busy environment. The successful applicant will possess excellent customer service and communication skills. A current driver’s license is required.
