Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology services the Brisbane metropolitan area and regional areas extending as far north as Cairns and south to Coffs Harbour and provides a range of cardiac investigation & diagnostic services including Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring, Holter Monitoring and ECGs.
Applications are invited for an exciting opportunity for a full-time Multi-Disciplinary Scientist to join the Tugun Laboratory. Located at the southern end of the Gold Coast, Tugun offers a unique lifestyle opportunity, with some of the best beaches on the coast, a laid back café culture, great recreational activities and easy access to surrounding areas such as Brisbane, Northern NSW and the Gold Coast Hinterland.
The Tugun Laboratory is based within the John Flynn Private Hospital. The hospital manages a wide range of services, including emergency and intensive care, coronary care, oncology, maternity, surgical, rehab and medical wards, offering the potential for a rewarding laboratory experience. The successful applicant would work as part of a rotating 7-day 24 hour roster including public holidays, which attracts significant penalty rates and an additional week of annual leave.

Depending on your experience, you may play a key role in mentoring and training of less experienced staff and/or assist with the day to day co-ordination of one of the local departments.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in medical laboratory science or equivalent, with demonstrated knowledge of Haematology, Coagulation, Biochemistry, Immunohaematology and Microbiology disciplines, and a minimum of two years experience working in a medical laboratory.
