About the Opportunity 

We now have an opportunity for a Full-Time Supervisor to join our team at the Highland Park Hub on the Gold Coast. This is an opportunity to experience a unique lifestyle with some of the best beaches on the coast, laid-back café culture, great recreational activities and easy access to surrounding areas such as Brisbane, Northern NSW and the Gold Coast Hinterland.

The Highland Park Hub provides Courier, Dispatch and Preanalytical services to both the community and Gold Coast Laboratories. 

Your typical day-to-day duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Coordination of the Hub operations to promote efficient and effective delivery, receipt and processing of pathology specimens 
• Effective team supervision of Courier, Dispatch and Preanalytical staff, ensuring compliance with all procedures
• Assisting with human resource functions including recruitment, inductions and performance management
• Courier fleet administration including vehicle audits, scheduling maintenance and repairs
• Reviewing courier run schedules to ensure we are satisfying the requirements of internal and external customers, through the provision of reliable and efficient service levels
• Adhering to occupational health and safety policies to safeguard both personal well-being and the safety of others in the workplace
• Upholding quality standards by adhering to the Corporate Quality System Procedures

About You

• Knowledge of the Gold Coast region
• Proven experience in a supervisory position in a transport logistics field and/or in a diagnostic pathology laboratory
• Qualifications in Laboratory Techniques, Healthcare or Science are desirable but not essential
• Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills and a strong team focus
• Aptitude for problem-solving and troubleshooting
• Time management and organisational skills
• Strong Microsoft applications skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Commitment to high-quality work and customer service
• Self-motivated with high attention to detail, the ability to be flexible, and a willingness to display initiative
