About Your Next Opportunity

Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology now has opportunities for permanent part-time and full-time Pathology Specimen Collectors to join their Pathology Collection team in various locations throughout the Northern Rivers area. 

Work hours are between 6.30 am - 7.30 pm, with participation in the Saturday roster required.

Your primary responsibility will be taking blood samples from patients and maintaining positive relationships with external clients, GPs, and Medical Centre staff.

Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be to:

  • Treat our patients with care and compassion;
  • Receive urine and faeces samples;
  • Record patient information;
  • Complete online training via our eLearning training system; and
  • Liaise with referrers and ancillary services in a hospital setting.

About You 

If you love dealing with people and have a background in customer service, retail, front-end reception, or any customer-facing position, this is the role for you!

Successful candidates will embark on a comprehensive paid training course during their first twelve months of employment. Upon completion of training, candidates will receive an SNP training certificate.

The successful applicant will have a commitment to service excellence with good interpersonal and liaison skills.

Successful candidates must possess a current First Aid Certificate, a driver's licence, and reliable transport. Additionally, previous experience in Venipuncture, while not essential, is desirable.

Candidates with experience working in the health, aged care, or community sectors with a natural knack for caring for others will also be highly regarded.
