In this role, you will be required to adhere to departmental quality system procedures and the occupational health and safety policy in order to uphold laboratory standards and ensure personal and others' health and safety in the workplace.
You will assist with reliable and efficient customer service by working collaboratively with other team members, referrers and patients.
Some of your core duties include:
To be successful in this role, you'll have a relevant Degree or higher qualification in Science, Applied Science, Medical Laboratory Science or the equivalent. While not essential, previous experience working in pathology and, in particular, biochemistry will be highly regarded.
Experience with ASNZS4308:2008, ASNZS4076:2019, mass spectrometry, QTOF or HPLC would be beneficial but not essential.
Our ideal candidate will have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and a strong team focus. Moreover, initiative and an enthusiasm to take on extra duties within the laboratory are required.
You will have high attention to detail and excellent organisational skills, allowing you to prioritise your workload and work accurately and efficiently while unsupervised.
