About the Opportunity

Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology now has exciting opportunities for a full-time Laboratory Assistant to join our Microbiology team in Bowen Hills, QLD.

Currently your shift times will be Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:00 pm or 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, in a weekly rotation. You will also be required to participate in a weekend and public holiday roster once appropriately trained.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following: 

• Prior laboratory knowledge/experience, particularly in a microbiology laboratory or in microbiology laboratory techniques
• Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills and the ability to work autonomously and also as an effective member of a team
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and work methodically and efficiently whilst adhering to occupational health and safety policies
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to be an effective team member and have a positive influence on other staff
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to prioritise your workload and complete your work tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Possess strong commitment to laboratory turnarounds, high attention to detail and strong customer service skills.
