About Your Next Opportunity
Applications are invited for Full-Time and Part-time Pathology Services Assistants to join the SRA Preanalytical team in our Bowen Hills laboratory.
The Department provides services Monday to Friday 08:30 to 00:30, Saturday 08:30 to 23:00 and Sunday 10:00 to 20:00.
Participation in the Saturday and public holiday rosters is expected.
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Specimen registration, data entry and processing
- Unpacking, receipting and distribution of specimens – you may be required to be on your feet for long periods of time and lift/carry eskies
- Delivery of specimens to laboratory departments
- Loading of samples on to automated equipment
- Preanalytical preparation and processing including centrifuging and aliquoting of specimens
About You
Suitable applicants should be enthusiastic, possess good communication and organisational skills and have the ability to work as part of a busy and multi-tasked team.
A high level of commitment to customer service, laboratory turnaround times and accuracy of processing is required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven keyboard skills
- Proven ability to work as part of a professional team in a fast-paced environment
