About the Opportunities
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology invites applications for 2 Pathology Specimen Collector positions in our Stanthorpe Collection Centre. This is a Flexible Part-time role with 64 Hours per fortnight available working Monday – Friday between 07.00 and 1200 and 2 full days 0700 - 1500. These hours can be split between the 2 successful applicants.
Your primary responsibility will be taking blood samples from patients and maintaining positive relationships with external clients, GP's, and Medical Centre staff.
Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be:
- Providing quality care for our patients in hospital;
- Treating our patients with care and compassion;
- Receiving urine and faeces samples;
- Recording patient information;
- Completing online training via our eLearning training system; and
- Liaising with referrers and ancillary services in a hospital setting.
About You
If you love dealing with people and have a background in customer service, retail, front end reception, or any customer facing position, this is the role for you!
Successful candidates will embark on a comprehensive paid training course during their first twelve months of employment. Upon completion of training, candidates will receive an SNP training certificate.
The successful applicant must be meticulous, efficient, able to work alone or as part of a team and have a demonstrable history of attention to detail and customer service.
Applicants must have computer skills and must possess a current First Aid Certificate. Experience in venipuncture, NPS and Cardiology skills is desirable.
A reliable vehicle and a current driver’s licence are also essential.
