Now is your chance to take on a rewarding opportunity as a Facility Maintenance person working in the Essential Services Department across the greater Brisbane region!
Your primary responsibility will be to carry out property maintenance as required, for laboratories, collection centres and other SNP locations in the greater Brisbane area. You will also have the opportunity to learn from the current incumbent in your first few months on the job!
Your typical day-to-day duties will include (but will not be limited to):
Please note: This job will involve driving to and from locations, therefore you will require an unrestricted Australian Drivers License. You will be provided with a company vehicle for this travel.
To be successful you will bring your expertise ideally from a trades and/or maintenance background. This role will certainly suit candidates with a background in carpentry. Candidates who have qualifications in other trade disciplines will also be held in high regard.
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in and/or exposure to a facilities management environment, ideally with an understanding of Australian building codes and standards.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills and a high level of corporate professionalism will be key to your success in this role, as you will be regularly communicating with SNP specialist teams and external stakeholders. You will also have the ability to work effectively in a small team.
Importantly, you will have a positive and proactive attitude, with a hands-on approach to your work and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a demanding, fast-moving environment.
