Your Opportunity:
Now is your chance to take on a rewarding opportunity as an Accounts Payable Officer working in the Commercial Services Department based at our Bowen Hills head office. This is a unique opportunity to join a very stable and high performing team. In fact, this is the first time that this Accounts Payable position has been available in over a decade!
As an integral part of the Sullivan Nicolaides supply chain function, the Accounts Payable role provides administrative and clerical support to ensure the accurate and efficient processing and payment of invoices.
Your typical day-to-day duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Ensure suppliers are paid on time and in line with the company's supplier payment policy;
- End to end Accounts Payable processing including complex multi-line invoices, invoice compliance and accurate cost centre allocation;
- Working with both internal and external teams to identify, reconcile and resolve invoice related queries;
- Setting up new supplier details, liaising with existing suppliers in a professional manner;
- Supplier account reconciliations;
- Monitoring and reporting of compliance with payment terms;
- Ensuring compliance with the company's expenditure and approval policies;
- Preparing payment listings and loading bank payments for the authorised signatories to approve;
- Manage AP related queries and follow up;
- Complete supplier statement & open POs reconciliations and follow up on old invoices and credit notes; and
- Month end processes
What will you bring?
To be successful, you will have previous experience in a high volume accounts payable environment and have a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping, general accounting and supply concepts.
You possess a keen eye for detail, strong organisation skills and a demonstrated ability to multitask.
Our Accounts Payable team is a small team who like to be busy and take great pride in their work. They look for opportunities to improve, but equally know how to work alongside both internal and external stakeholders to continuously achieve positive outcomes.
You’ll have the ability to learn new systems and will work quickly and seamlessly between multiple platforms (Microsoft Dynamics and electronic data integration and optical character recognition software).
Importantly, you will have a positive and proactive attitude, with a hands-on approach to your work and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a demanding, fast-moving environment.
