About Your Next Opportunity

Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology now have exciting opportunities for Laboratory Scientists to join their Molecular Pathology team as part of a 12-month contract. Full-time or part-time opportunities are available. 

You will primarily be focused on Coronavirus testing. Shift times are 7.5 hours – routine shifts are available Monday-Friday evenings 3:30pm – 11:00pm and Saturday and Sunday evenings 3:30pm – 11:00pm.  Full training is provided during the week. 

 

Duties include:

  • Rapid PCR test setup and reporting;
  • Screening PCR test setup and reporting;
  • Specimen log-in and extraction prior to PCR testing; and
  • Other associated laboratory duties as assigned by the laboratory supervisor.

Applicants should possess a degree a relevant area of study from a recognised tertiary institution. Prior experience in microbiology or molecular microbiology techniques will be advantageous.

We are seeking staff who have worked in fast paced roles requiring multitasking and excellent time management.  The role requires attention to detail, a steady hand and a commitment to doing quality work following SNP policies and procedures. 

The positions represent an opportunity to participate in testing the community for Coronavirus and learning other Molecular Pathology techniques whilst also gaining new skills in the health industry.
