About Your Next Opportunity

Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology now has multiple opportunities for part-time Pathology Specimen Collectors to join their Pathology Collection team in centres from Caloundra to Noosaville. 

Your primary responsibility will be taking blood samples from patients and maintaining positive relationships with external clients, GP's, and Medical Centre staff.

Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be to:

  • Providing quality care for our patients in the community;
  • Treating our patients with care and compassion;
  • Receiving urine and faeces samples;
  • Recording patient information;
  • COVID-19 swabs;
  • Completing online training via our eLearning training system; and
  • Liaising with referrers and ancillary services in a community setting.

This position offers a variety of shifts from 6am to 6pm (average shift is 6.5hrs), working 25hrs per week/75 per fortnight.

About You

If you love dealing with people and have a background in customer service, this is the role for you!

Successful candidates will embark on a comprehensive paid training course during their first twelve months of employment. Upon completion of training, candidates will receive an SNP training certificate.

The successful applicant will have a commitment to service excellence with good interpersonal and liaison skills.

Along with a desire to work in a workplace where trust and team spirit is an integral component, you will be meticulous, efficient, able to work alone or as part of a team.

Whilst not a requirement, candidates who have a relevant qualification (Certificate III or IV in Pathology Specimen Collection) will be held in high regard. Candidates with phlebotomy experience or other experience in the health sector will also be looked upon favourably.

If you do not have a current First Aid Certificate, Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology will assist successful applicants to obtain.
