Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is one of the largest pathology practices in Australia, providing comprehensive services to patients and doctors over a geographic area throughout Queensland, Northern Territory and New South Wales, employing more than 2000 people.
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology services the Brisbane metropolitan area and regional areas extending as far north as Cairns and south to Coffs Harbour.
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology now has a part-time opportunity for a flexible Pathology Specimen Collector to join the Atherton team.
Based out of the Atherton collection centre; your primary responsibility will be taking blood samples from patients.
Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be to:
Availability and flexibility are important aspects of a collection role with SNP. You will work primarily from the Atherton collection centre, and must be available to work shift rotations between the hours of 7am and 5pm Monday to Friday and participate in a rotating Saturday roster. Some weekday shifts at Mareeba may also be required.
The successful candidate will have neat and professional presentation, effective written and verbal communication skills, and the flexibility to cover shifts at short notice. You must also be able to work independently as well as the ability to adhere to strict protocols and guidelines. A First Aid Certificate is a mandatory prerequisite.
Candidates with pathology specimen collection experience will be held in high regard, although this is not essential. Successful candidates will embark on a comprehensive training course during their first twelve months of employment. Upon completion of training, candidates receive an SNP training certificate.

An attractive hourly rate, circa $23.33, will be offered to each successful applicant.
