About the Opportunity
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology Townsville is now looking for full-time and part-time Pathology Services Assistants to join the Bowen Hills SRA their Preanalytical Team. The department provides services between 8am - 1am Monday to Friday and from 8am - 11pm Saturday and 10am - 8pm on Sunday. Participation in the Saturday and public holiday roster is expected.
Responsibilities of the position include
- Specimen registration, data entry and processing
- Unpacking, receipting and distribution of specimens – you may be required to be on your feet for long periods of time and lift/carry eskies
- Delivery of specimens to laboratory departments
- Loading of samples on to automated equipment
- Preanalytical preparation and processing including centrifuging and aliquoting of specimens
The successful applicant must be flexible, have the ability to multi-task and have excellent attention to detail. The role also requires an enthusiastic attitude and the proven ability to work in a busy environment.
The successful applicant will possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
This is not a courier position.
