Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is one of the largest pathology practices in Australia, providing comprehensive services to patients and doctors over a geographic area throughout Queensland, Northern Territory and New South Wales, employing more than 2000 people.
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology services the Brisbane metropolitan area and regional areas extending as far north as Cairns and south to Coffs Harbour.
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology now has multiple full-time and part-time opportunities for flexible Pathology Specimen Collectors to join their Brisbane Collection team.
Our Collection Centres are located all across Brisbane and the Lockyer Valley from Bribie Island and Kilcoy in the North, to Gatton and Laidley in the West, Wynnum and Victoria Point in the East and Beenleigh, Logan and Beaudesert in the South and South West. As a Pathology Specimen Collector your primary responsibility will be taking blood and/or nose and throat swabs from patients.

The ideal candidates will have a high level of written and verbal communication skills, along with dedication to excellent customer service. You must also be able to work independently as well as in a team and demonstrate the ability to perform tasks in a timely manner. A First Aid Certificate is a mandatory prerequisite, whilst Certificate III or IV in Pathology Specimen Collections and highly regarded.
Candidates with pathology specimen collection experience will be held in high regard, although this is not essential. Successful candidates will embark on a comprehensive training course during their first twelve months of employment. Upon completion of training, candidates receive an SNP training certificate.
The high level of service provided by Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is delivered by a dedicated staff comprising of pathologists, scientists, technicians, laboratory assistants, collection personnel, couriers, computer personnel, pathology services assistants and other support staff. The successful candidate will join a welcoming team of dedicated health professionals with a focus on patient care.

An attractive hourly rate, circa $23.33, will be offered to each successful applicant. Hospital collectors are eligible for progression to a Level 5 rate of pay ($28.58) and are also eligible for penalty rates for weekend, public holiday and some after-hours shifts.
