About the Opportunity
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology now has an opportunity for a full-time Pathology Specimen Collector to join their Pathology Collection team in their Maryborough and Hervey Bay Collection Centres.
Your primary responsibility will be taking blood samples from patients and maintaining positive relationships with external clients, GP's, and Medical Centre staff.
Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be to:
- Provide quality patient care for our patients in care facilities;
- Treat our patients with care and compassion;
- Receive samples;
- Record patient information; and
- Complete online training via our eLearning training system.
This position offers a variety of shifts, Monday to Friday between 6.00am – 5.00pm, and Saturday 8.00am - 10.45am.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have high level written and verbal communication skills, along with a dedication to excellent customer service. You'll enjoy variety and be a proud advocate of Sullivan Nicolaides, its policies and procedures.
You must also be able to work independently as well as in a team and demonstrate the ability to problem-solve and manage your time effectively. Previous phlebotomy experience is desirable although not essential.
It is also essential that you desire to work in a workplace where trust, team spirit and equity are integral to everything that is done.
Please Note: You will need a current driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current first aid certificate.
