Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology services the Brisbane metropolitan area and regional areas extending as far north as Cairns and south to Coffs Harbour.
About the Opportunity
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is currently looking for a part-time Pathology Services Assistant to join the Preanalytical area of their Toowoomba Laboratory. Shifts will vary between 06:30 – 18:30, Monday to Friday, and a rotating Saturday shift between 8:30-13:30 and a rotating Sunday shift between 07:00 – 11:00.
Duties will include:
- The processing/registration & eChecking of human specimens for analysis;
- Unpacking, receipting and distribution of specimens
- Delivery of specimens to laboratory departments
- Preanalytical preparation and processing including centrifuging and aliquoting of specimens
- Packaging of transport esky’s for both road and air transport
- A current drivers licence is essential
Suitable applicants should be enthusiastic, possess good communication and organisational skills and have the ability to work as part of a busy and multi-tasked team. A high level of commitment to customer service, laboratory turnaround times and accuracy of processing is required.
