Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology services the Brisbane metropolitan area and regional areas extending as far north as Cairns and south to Coffs Harbour and provides a range of cardiac investigation & diagnostic services including Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring, Holter Monitoring and ECGs.

 About the Opportunity

Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology has an exciting opportunity for Cardiac Scientists; multiple positions are available with both full time and part time positions considered. These office-based roles will see you work a variety of shifts across department hours which are currently 7:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.


Reporting to the Cardiology Services Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Analysing, interpreting and preparing preliminary reports on Holter Monitors, Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitors and ECGs
  • Providing support and troubleshooting to Area Managers, collection and laboratory staff in relation to Cardiology Services
  • Contributing to the timely release of patient results to doctors and specialists
  • Supporting the training and assessment of collection staff across the Practice with regards to the application and removal of cardiac patient monitoring devices
  • Providing administration support to the Cardiology Services Team including but not limited to resource development, quality improvement initiatives and projects as required

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A relevant Bachelor Degree or post-graduate qualifications and post-graduate experience
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to the diagnosis and care of patients through the application, interpretation and preliminary reporting of Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitors, Holter Monitors and ECGs
  • Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work and meet deadlines
  • The ability to provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel and Outlook) and the willingness to learn various Cardiology-specific applications
  • The ability to work effectively, both independently and as a member of a team
  • Sound troubleshooting and problem solving ability

 A Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and/or equivalent experience would be highly regarded, but not essential.

Must hold a Type O, Class C, driver’s licence and have a demonstrated good driving record for the past 5 years.

Please note: Some travel (intrastate and interstate) may be required as part of this position
