About the Opportunity
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is currently looking for full-time and part-time Pathology Services Assistants to join their Bowen Hills SRA Preanalytical Team. The Department provides services Monday to Friday 8am - 1am, and Saturday 8am - 9pm. Participation in the Saturday and public holiday rosters is expected.
Duties will include:
- Specimen registration, data entry and processing
- Unpacking, receipting and distribution of specimens – you may be required to be on your feet for long periods of time and lift/carry eskies
- Delivery of specimens to laboratory departments
- Loading of samples on to automated equipment
- Preanalytical preparation and processing, including centrifuging and aliquoting of specimens
