Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology services the Brisbane metropolitan area and regional areas extending as far north as Cairns and south to Coffs Harbour.
About the Opportunity
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is currently looking for a flexible part-time Pathology Services Assistant to join the team at their Rockhampton Laboratory. Shifts will vary between 7.30am - 8:30pm, Monday to Friday, plus participation in a rotating Saturday roster.
Duties will include:
- Receiving, sorting and preparation of samples for analysis;
- Data entry and processing;
- Registration and distribution of pathology samples; and
- Batching and preparation of specimens for transport.
The successful applicant will have an enthusiastic attitude and an employment history which shows initiative, attention to detail and a proven ability to work in a busy environment.
You must also have strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work as part of a busy, multi-tasked team performing specimen reception, phone reception and administration duties.
You will require knowledge of medical terminology, specimen processing, and data entry experience, as well as excellent customer service skills. Experience with the Apollo LIS, specimen processing and transport, and eCollect, will be an advantage.
