Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology services the Brisbane metropolitan area and regional areas extending as far north as Cairns and south to Coffs Harbour and offers both routine testing and specialised testing for referral laboratories throughout Australia.
About the Opportunity
SNP has an exciting opportunity for a flexible, part-time Pathology Specimen Collector to join their Pathology team in Townsville, QLD. You will be working 25 hours a week, with a range of shifts between 6am and 7pm Monday to Friday, plus every second Saturday morning.
The primary task of this role is to take blood samples from patients, traveling to community rooms, houses, and nursing homes as required.
Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be:
- Treating patients with care and compassion;
- Recording patient information whilst maintaining confidentiality;
- Completing online training via our eLearning training system; and
- Liaising with referrers and ancillary services in the community and in a hospital setting.
The successful applicant will be an experienced specimen collector; meticulous, efficient, and have a demonstrable history of attention to detail and customer service.
Applicants should be suitably qualified with experience in venipuncture, have computer skills and must possess a current First Aid Certificate.
Please Note: It is essential to the position that you have access to a reliable vehicle and hold a current Driver's Licence.
