About the Opportunity
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology has an exciting opportunity for a full time Rotational Laboratory Scientist to join their multidisciplinary Townsville Laboratory, which operates 24 hours a day.
Previous laboratory scientific experience within a multi-disciplinary laboratory would be highly desirable. Departments encompassed include: Haematology, Biochemistry, Immunohaematology, Microbiology and Histology.
To be considered for this position, applicants must:
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in medical laboratory science (or equivalent);
- Demonstrate knowledge of Haematology, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunohaematology, Biochemistry and Histology disciplines;
- Be an enthusiastic, self-motivated person, with comprehensive understanding of a pathology laboratory operation in conjunction with accreditation requirements;
- Have a high level of interpersonal skills, high level organizational skills and a commitment to customer service;
- Have the ability to work autonomously and within a team, while focussing on providing timely and accurate results for SNP referrers within a busy regional laboratory; and
- Display a strong problem-solving ability, along with effective communication/interpersonal skills.
This role will involve participation in a 24/7 rotational shift roster. Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is therefore seeking flexible and enthusiastic individuals. Please note however, that the organisation is committed to ensuring a healthy work/life balance for all their staff.
