About the Opportunity
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is currently looking for multiple Laboratory Assistants to join their Molecular Pathology team in Bowen Hills. Working a rotating roster of 7am - 3pm or 9am - 5pm shifts, Tuesday to Saturday, these roles are available on either a full-time (temporary 12 month contract), or part-time (temporary 12 month contract) basis.
Playing a vital role in the Coronavirus testing process, you will be responsible for logging and processing specimens, operating specimen handling instruments and robotic liquid handlers, DNA/RNA extraction, and other related duties as required. Full training will be provided.
Whilst experience in pathology or a similar lab-based role will be highly regarded, this is not essential provided you have high attention to detail, a steady hand, and excellent time management. These roles would be well suited to someone with experience as a barista, kitchen hand or similar, who has a demonstrated background in fast-paced environments and strong multitasking skills.
Confident completing quality work at high speeds, you'll be committed to Sullivan Nicolaides policies and procedures and ideally be a genuinely enthusiastic and flexible individual, able to work both autonomously and as part of a busy and motivated team.
