Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Scientist to work from the Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) Lab in Bowen Hills, Brisbane. This role is available as a full time 12 month contract position.
The main aim of this varied role is to perform laboratory and associated functions.
Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will include:
Successful applicants will have a tertiary degree in a relevant area of study from a recognised tertiary institution, excellent communication and customer service skills as well as a high attention to detail to enable maximum accuracy of processing, with a strong commitment to laboratory turnaround times. Previous experience in the area of human molecular genetics will be viewed very favourably for this role, however other suitably qualified laboratory scientists without clinical experience are also encouraged to apply.
The successful applicant will be rostered to various daytime shifts throughout the week, including participation in a Saturday roster as required, and will work both autonomously and as a team member in this busy, fast paced high throughput laboratory.
