Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology services the Brisbane metropolitan area and regional areas extending as far north as Cairns and south to Coffs Harbour and offers both routine testing and specialised testing for referral laboratories throughout Australia.
About the Opportunity
SNP has an exciting opportunity for a flexible, full-time Pathology Specimen Collector to join their Pathology team in Coffs Harbour, NSW.
The primary task of this role is to take blood samples from patients.
Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be:
- Providing quality care for our patients in the community and in hospital;
- Treating our patients with care and compassion;
- Maintaining confidentiality;
- Recording patient information;
- Completing online training via our eLearning training system; and
- Liaising with referrers and ancillary services in the community and in a hospital setting.
About You
The successful applicant must be meticulous, efficient, able to work alone or as part of a team and have a demonstrable history of attention to detail and customer service.
Applicants should be suitably qualified with experience in venipuncture, have computer skills and must possess a current First Aid Certificate. Experience in a hospital environment is also highly desirable.
You will be required to work across various areas and must be available to work shift rotations between the hours of 7:00 and 19:00, with participation in the Saturday roster.
Please Note: It is essential to the position that you have access to a reliable vehicle and hold a current Driver's Licence.

An attractive hourly rate, circa $22.84, will be offered to each successful applicant. Hospital collectors are eligible for progression to a Level 5 rate of pay and are also eligible for penalty rates for weekend, public holiday and some after-hours shifts.
