About the Opportunity
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology has a unique opportunity for a full-time On Call Scientist to join their laboratory team based in Mackay, QLD. This busy laboratory services the Mater Mackay Private Hospital and the Mackay and Whitsunday region of tropical North Queensland.
Your responsibilities in this role will include:
- Routine Haematology and Coagulation;
- Routine Biochemistry; and
- Routine blood banking.
To be successful in this position you will have appropriate qualifications in Medical laboratory Science. Experience in haematology, biochemistry and blood banking would be an advantage.You will also require high attention to detail, computer skills, and an enthusiastic, flexible approach to your work.
The role will require the successful applicant to be multi-skilled, working on a seven day rostered basis in the core lab, including on call after hours. Experience in haematology, biochemistry and blood banking would be an advantage.
The shifts in the Mackay laboratory span the hours of
- Monday to Friday 7.00am to 10.30pm then on call,
- Saturday and Sundy 8.00am to 10.30pm and then on call,
