About the Opportunity

Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology now has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Pathology Specimen Collector to join the new Alice Springs Collection Centre, based within a large medical centre. 

The primary task of this role is to take blood samples from patients.

Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be:

  • Providing quality care for our patients in the community;
  • Treating our patients with care and compassion;
  • Receiving urine and faeces samples;
  • Recording patient information;
  • Completing online training via our eLearning training system; and
  • Liaising with referrers and ancillary services in a community setting.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a Certificate III in Pathology and a First Aid Certificate.  The successful candidate will also have previous experience in a similar role and a strong commitment to patient care and customer service. 

You will have well-developed interpersonal skills, with neat and professional presentation and good time management. You will show initiative in the workplace, including the ability to solve problems as they arise and work independently as needed. 

This role would be well suited to someone who enjoys variety and flexibility in their role and is looking for a challenge and the opportunity to develop and grow a new centre.
