About the Opportunity

Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology now has an opportunity for a full-time Accounts Officer to join their Commercial Services Department in Bowen Hills, Brisbane. 

The Commercial Services Department operates Monday to Friday, from 8am - 5pm. There is flexibility regarding start and finish times between these hours.

Primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Carrying out daily banking and reconciliation activities;
  • Allocating payments;
  • Performing duties related to Medicare and health funds; and
  • Billing, quoting, debt collection and other tasks related to commercial clients.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience within an Accounts Receivable role, with excellent English communication skills. Competency in the use of computer programs is essential (primarily the Microsoft Office suite), as is experience in commercial debt collection. Although not essential, knowledge of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) will be highly regarded.

This position would suit an enthusiastic self-starter who is team orientated and willing to jump into any task at hand. You will display strong organisational and analytical skills alongside a passion for process - you'll be involved in improving and implementing workflows and training manuals so this is key!
