About the Opportunity
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Pathology Services Assistant to join their team in the Townsville Laboratory.
Applicants must be available to participate in a rotational roster with full availability between 07:00 - 22:00 Monday to Friday. There is also the requirement to participate in a weekend rotation as rostered.
Within this varied position, the successful applicant will provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
Your key responsibility will be to perform all tasks relevant to the receipt, coding and preparation of diagnostic specimens for testing as well as all other department duties.
The role requires an enthusiastic attitude, excellent communication skills and an employment history which shows initiative, attention to detail and proven ability to work within a team focused, high-pressure environment. The ability to work comfortably while under pressure cannot be underestimated in this role.
The successful applicant will have a proven history of compliance with WHS policies and procedures, demonstrated experience in a similar role within a laboratory/healthcare environment and strong computer skills.
